The Argolida prefecture is known as the “Golden Prefecture” in Greece as it is home to the world famous Mycenae, Ancient Tiryns and the ancient Theatre of Epidavros. Many visitors use Nafplio as a base from which to visit these UNESCO protected sites and the other wonders of the Peloponnese.
